John Ratzenberger
We welcome actor John Ratzenberger. He is best known for playing the character Cliff Clavin on the comedy series Cheers, for which he earned two Primetime Emmy nominations and took part in every Pixar film made. He is appearing in the June 14th release of Inside Out 2 and talks with Randy about his voice work on this film, his Nuts, Bolts, and Thingamajigs campaign, and much more.

Sara Evans
We welcome Sara Evans, country music superstar, to the show to talk about her upbringing in tiny Boonville, Missouri, and her memories of checking in with Randy Miller throughout her career. Sara now has a new album, “Unbroke” and she brings us all the info on this great new album.

Sherri Chrichton
We are happy to welcome Sherri Crichton, widow of the late Michael Crichton, to the show to discuss her husband’s wide catalogue of work and her discovery of an unfinished manuscript about volcanoes that she, with the help of our friend James Patterson, has polished and released: “Eruption.” We can’t wait to read it!

Jeremy White
We welcome United States Marine Corps veteran Jeremy White to the show for a brand-new segment of The National Defense: American Dream. We will welcome a veteran of our U.S. Military to the show to talk about their service and transition to the civilian world, and then we’ll discuss their career dreams and, HOPEFULLY, help make those dreams happen. Jeremy and Randy discuss his service, his difficult transition to the civilian world, and how finding faith turned his life around.

F.B.I. Frank Figliuzzi
The National Defense welcomes the former Assistant Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Frank Figliuzzi, to the program to talk about something that we really had no inkling of; murders along our U.S. Interstate system. Frank details how little he even knew of the F.B.I.’s Highway Serial Killings Initiative, and how it lead to the book he has intensely researched and studied “Long Haul: Hunting the Highway Serial Killers.” Please note: some of the serious topics discussed in this segment are not suited for children.

Ret. Air Force Lt. Col Dan Hampton with “Vanishing Act”
We welcome back a highly decorated Air Force veteran and accomplished author, Lt. Col Dan “Two Dogs” Hampton to the show to talk about his newest book about the Doolittle Raiders, “Vanishing Act: The Enduring Mystery Behind the Legendary Doolittle Raid over Tokyo.” Randy and Dan talk about the book, the process of writing it, and new discoveries that were made in one of the more baffling military stories from the era.

Steve Guttenburg
We welcome back one of our favorite actors, Steve Guttenberg, to the show to talk about his Army Ranger father, and how his dad’s declining health led him to become a caregiver for his ailing family member. Steve and Randy discuss the challenges that caregivers can face, as well as a few stories from his time pursuing his acting career. Also, can we please start streaming “Cocoon?”

Frankie “Spice” Morelli
We love talking food, and we welcome quite the character in Frankie “Spice” Morelli to the show to talk about his family’s time in the military, his own time in prison, and how he came to write the MOBB Cookbook & Diet that he wrote along with Dr. Sandra Frank.

Anthony Scaramucci
Randy speaks with Anthony Scaramucci about his short career in the Trump White House as Press Secretary as well as his works out for purchase. The “Mooch” and Randy talk about his stint as Press Secretary, the reasoning and method behind his firing, and many more entertaining stories, as well as a salute to the men and women who serve in the U.S. military.

Brian Andrews and Jeffrey Wilson
The National Defense takes a look at the latest Tom Clancy/Jack Ryan novel “Act of Defiance” with the duo that wrote the book, Navy veteran Brian Andrews, and a true renaissance man Jeffrey Wilson. Randy talks with Brian and Jeffrey about the book, the legendary fiction character Jack Ryan, and much more about this great book.

“Gorgeous” George Smith
We welcome long-time voice of American Forces Network and it’s previous radio services, “Gorgeous” George Smith, to The National Defense. Randy and George chat about their respective radio careers, how cracking the mic is different in the civilian world from the military one, and just a few stories from his memoir: “Soldier of the Airwaves.” A GREAT guest!

Allen Hoe: PBS Annual Memorial Day Concert
Gold Star Father and Vietnam Veteran Allen Hoe discusses the annual National Memorial Day Concert coming up on PBS. Allen talks about his service in Vietnam, but his son, who was killed in Iraq, is serving as a 1st Lt. Infantry Officer with the Army’s 3rd Battalion.
