We welcome back a highly decorated Air Force veteran and accomplished author, Lt. Col Dan “Two Dogs” Hampton to the show to talk about his newest book about the Doolittle Raiders, “Vanishing Act: The Enduring Mystery Behind the Legendary Doolittle Raid over Tokyo.” Randy and Dan talk about the book, the process of writing it, and new discoveries that were made in one of the more baffling military stories from the era.

Gold Star Father and Vietnam Veteran Allen Hoe discusses the annual National Memorial Day Concert coming up on PBS. Allen talks about his service in Vietnam, but his son, who was killed in Iraq, is serving as a 1st Lt. Infantry Officer with the Army’s 3rd Battalion.
