Beau Bridges
We welcome a member of a Hollywood acting dynasty, Beau Bridges, to the show to talk about his new film: “Camera.” Beau has the lead role in this film, which follows a non-verbal child who struggles to fit in as he meets Beau’s character, a kind repair shop owner, and becomes unlikely friends after being brought together by a damaged film format camera. Randy and Beau also discuss his time serving in the Coast Guard Reserves and the Coast Guard museum, which he is a part of bringing to life.

R.I.P. Jerry Newberry
We are very sad to relay the passing of the cornerstone to The National Defense radio show in our 20-year run with the death of Jerry Newberry. Randy shares his thoughts on Jerry, how each week’s show open was initially penned by Jerry, and we take a look back to an exhilarating segment that Jerry recorded live in the Kornegal valley on one of his many embeds with our troops over the years. Rest easy, Jerry.

Sebastian and Randy talk about his stand-up career, now playing in an arena near you, his various roles in major motion pictures, including work with Robert De Niro, and what it was like having his father on set telling De Niro how to act like him.
Paul Skenes
We welcome one of the hottest sensations in the National League to Celebrity Salute: MLB All-Star Paul Skenes of the Pittsburgh Pirates. Paul and Randy talk about his college and professional career, iconic Bucco staches, and time spent at the Air Force Academy. Paul is taking on a new initiative with the Gary Sinise Foundation, and he shares all of the details on that (as well as a little bit of talk about his famous girlfriend, Livvy Dunne!).

Nat Geo’s “Shark Fest” is currently prowling the airwaves, and we welcome Dr. Mike Heithaus, Executive Dean of the College of Arts, Sciences & Education and Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at FIU to talk about his favorite topic: SHARKS! Randy and Dr. Mike talk about some of the special programming that Nat Geo has on tap, including one gentlemen who tried to replicated the daily diet of a tiger shark!
