We welcome our first ever ASTRONAUT to the program: Jose Hernandez! Randy talks with Jose about the fascinating new pictures that have arrived from the James Webb Space Telescope and learn a little about what we’re seeing in the fantastic photos. Jose also owns a vineyard out in California, so, of course, Randy takes the opportunity to discuss a little vino with our spaceman as well.
We welcome producer Jane Rosenthal, who, along with Robert De Niro, founded the Tribeca Film Festival in the aftermath of the September 11 attacks to help revitalize downtown Manhattan. Randy talks with Dan about the true life story of Bill Harris spending over three years escaping and evading capture of the Japanese military. We welcome the President and CEO of NaVOBA, the National Veteran-Owned Business Association to the program to talk about his organization’s work in certifying that businesses claiming to be owned or operated by veterans are ACTUALLY who they say they are. With more companies, like Johnson & Johnson seeking to support suppliers and companies that are owned by veterans, a clearinghouse is necessary to ensure that people and companies are who they say they are. A very interesting interview and we thank Matthew for his time.
Archives and Brand Manager for Ford Motor Company, Ted Ryan, returns to the show and as he always does, brings us some GREAT stories from America’s automotive history. Ted and Ryan talk about the launch of the Ford Heritage Vault, documenting all of the available materials and information on Ford Motor company dating back to the very early 1900s.
