We welcome yet another great team member from Ford Motor Company, their Brand Content Alliance Manager, Darci Gurney, to talk about updates to the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Ford Proud to Honor Hall of Heroes. Two new honorees, Johnathan Yellowhair and Maya Herzog, are going to be the newest honorees in the Ford Proud to Honor Hall of Heroes for their work in assisting veterans in both the indigenous and veteran community with PTS and mental health issues.
We welcome Dr. Melissa Thompson, who served in the Massachusetts Army National Guard, to the show to talk about Aspen Dental’s 8th Day of Service, an incredible program where the over 500 Aspen Dental offices provide free dental services to veterans and their families. This year, the day is on June 11th, and all veterans have to do is call 844-ASPEN-HMM to find a location and reserve a spot. We welcome the Chief Executive Officer of Hire Heroes USA to the show to talk about his military service in the US Marine Corps, and his work in putting military veterans to work in the private sector once their military service career has come to an end. Randy talks with Andrew about how his military career was inspired by the attack on the World Trade Center Tower II on September 11th. Thanks to Andrew for his military service and for the incredibly important work he is continuing in helping our veterans put their unique skill sets to work in the civilian world.

But, the news that the show would continue brought tears to her eyes.
As the Invictus Games wrap up, we welcome Ken Fisher, Chairman, and CEO of Fisher House, to talk about his own personal experience in attending the event at The Hague, Netherlands. Ken has attended every Invictus Games since its inception and tells us about his experience there as well as some stories about the competition that took place in 2022, following a two-year hiatus for the pandemic. Randy and Ken then discuss the incredible Fisher House program and gives us some reports on where the VSO currently stands and where it’s going in the future.

Cappy shares about his military service in the Navy on the USS Harry S Truman, as well as how Walt Disney’s family service in the U.S. Navy, and Walt’s work as an ambulance driver for the Red Cross have galvanized enduring respect for our military.
